The New Awlins Ladies Series Works of Art by Germaine Galjour.

This series began with Aunt Myrtle's

attic:  old Mardi Gras costumes, funky

costume jewelry, feathers, trash,

treasures, mementoes and trinkets from

past Mardi Gras parades.

They range from 9" to 15" tall.  Each

damsel comes with her own story of

tribulation and celebration of living in the

"City That Care Forgot".

They are a festival of jazz, spirit and

heritage in a city steeped of unique

American culture, French Creole history

and times that Time forgot.

They are a parade, a fine meal at Galatoire's, a torrential thunderstorm, a sweet

beignet, a cup of coffee and chickory and a raucous walk down Bourbon Street.

Each is one of a kind, handcrafted and personalized.  Prices vary according to size,

but range from $250 to $500.  Inquiries welcome.
